Two Applique Pattern Books

As mentioned yesterday, I am seriously behind  in blogging, and have some catching up to do. One of the things on my to-do list was finding the winner of my virtual book tour.

For those of you who may not realize, I offered two (2!) of Darcy Ashton’s applique books to one of the readers of the blogs who hosted me. All they had to do was leave a post on one of the blogs.

So today I have the winner. Are you ready? It’s (drum roll please), Pam of CreativDawn Dolz. Pam commented on the  Why Knot Kwilt blog. Pam is one busy blogger. In addition to her CreativDawnDolz blog she can be found at,  Versana, and Fabrik Dea.

Thank you Pam for reading the blog post and leaving a comment. Your Darcy Ashton books will be arriving on your doorstep soon.

Thanks also to everyone who read one or more of the blogs hosting me, and a special thank you to the bloggers who hosted me. In addition to Why Knot Kwilt , there were S.E.W. Butterfly, Tall House Quilts, and Dilly Dally Days.  When you get a chance check them out, they are all wonderful people with fun interesting blogs.

By the way, Why Knot Kwilt  is looking for simple tasty casserole type dishes she can make for a family member who needs a little extra help right now. I’m sure most of you can cook better than I do, so stop by read her story and offer your suggestions. She’ll appreciate all the assistance.

Since I had such fun on my blog tour, I’m now seeing it from the other side. Tomorrow I will be hosting author, Vivian Zabel  on her tour. The book is not a quilting book, or sewing book, or craft book of any type. It is not a traditional inspirational type book, however, the story itself is inspirational. It is a heartwarming,  book of  tragedy and love. One your sure to enjoy.

Come back tomorrow, meet Vivian  and read about her and her book.

In addition to my blogging catch-up, I’m working on Christmas projects for my family. Currently I have on the to-do list:

 12 stocking

 6 quilts

 2 pillow covers

 1 wall hanging

 1 table-cloth

4 placemats

Then there are the six vests, but they may wait until after Christmas to be finished (or even started).

Actually, since I worked on the stockings yesterday I only have four of them to go. See? I’m making progress.

Ok, back to the sewing room. See ya”ll next time.:)
